The CW’s Riverdale expertly blends old Archie comics characters with the teen television of the last few decades, resulting in a show both atavistic and fresh. Comics Alliance nails this expert mashup in its reviews, where the writers insert dialogue from episodes into old Archie strips. It started with the second episode of the season, “A Touch Of Evil,” when Comics Alliance added a great Jughead line to an old panel:

“Body Double,” likewise, saw Veronica’s awesome rebuke to Cheryl Blossom casually throwing around the word “slut,” and the Comics Alliance team found the perfect panel to put it in:
