Having loved and lost directors David O. Russell and Mike White and leading ladies Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s Pride And Prejudice And Zombies has languished like the unmarried daughter of 19th-century nobility, just waiting for the right suitor to join them in the connubial bliss of slaughtering the undead. But now it appears that the film may have finally found its Elizabeth Bennet in Emma Stone, who has previous experience killing zombies with her concentrated feistiness in Zombieland. At this point, Stone has only been offered the role in the Craig Gillespie-helmed film—and considering she’s become one of the most in-demand actresses of late, that’s not surprising. Still, hopefully she’ll agree soon and finally get this production started, as it's already turned into something of a staggering corpse itself.
