Ellen DeGeneres is set to bring her folky charm to the movie-watching masses as the newly announced host of the 86th Academy Awards. The ceremony takes place March 2, 2014 in Los Angeles, and this is DeGeneres’ second time hosting the Oscars. She’s apparently already working on her jokes for the ceremony, because, in a press release, the talk show host said that while she’s “excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time,” “the third time’s the charm.” Zing!

Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who also produced this year’s Seth MacFarlane-hosted debacle, will once again helm the show. In the aforementioned press release, Zadam and Meron praised DeGeneres’ “warmth and humanity,” meaning that there probably won’t be any harsh lines whipped at big stars come next March.
