Edgar Wright movies tend to land somewhere between “really good” and “great,” so it’s always a big deal when word starts to spread about whatever his next project will be. Will he reunite with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost for another brilliant genre satire? Will he make something wholly unique like Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World or Baby Driver? As it turns out, Wright’s next project will actually be a documentary about pop-rock band Sparks. That comes from IndieWire, which says Wright already filmed the band’s London concert from back in May for the film, and he’s currently “scouring the archives”—as he puts it—for other footage. This will be Wright’s first feature-length documentary, and IndieWire says distribution details (as in, how you’ll be able to watch it and where) are still being worked out.
