It’s Back To The ‘70s week here at the DVD Release List, what with the release of the fancy new BD and DVD edition of the 1970 concert film Woodstock (review coming tomorrow) and the massive box set The Norman Lear Collection (containing the first seasons of the groundbreaking sitcoms All In The Family, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Maude and Mary Hartman Mary Hartman). And does anyone remember the creepy ‘70s conspiracy-docs The Outer Space Connection and Chariots of The Gods? You can pick those up this week on a single DVD. Even two of the big new studio releases—the Clint Eastwood race-relations drama Gran Torino and the paranoid thriller The International—feel like throwbacks to the cinema of three decades ago.

Or you can pick up the seventh and final season of The Shield, a TV cop drama which ended about as well as any TV series ever have—and is fully of the ‘00s.
