Finding Dory

Being the president is difficult, but it seems like Donald Trump is already having a harder time acclimating to the White House than most of his predecessors. According to an Associated Press report, the “bad press” he’s been getting has made it difficult for him to “enjoy” his new position, which is to be expected when thousands upon thousands of angry women protest against you all over the world on the day after you start your new job. Unfortunately for Trump and his fragile ego, the bad press is only getting worse this weekend as his outrageously un-American ban on immigrants and refugees from predominantly Muslim countries has been met with even more protests.

So, to escape the horrors of the world that he created, Trump has decided to enjoy one of the many perks of his new job: private screenings of recent Hollywood hits. As The Hollywood Reporter explains, presidents have been watching movies at the White House since the 1900s, starting with Woodrow Wilson watching The Birth Of A Nation. Even though that film perfectly aligns with the beliefs of many of his supporters, though, Trump decided to watch Finding Dory instead. Apparently, he wanted to watch something a bit more lighthearted on the weekend that he basically spat on one of the core values that America is built on.

The THR story says he’s with “family and friends,” so that makes the film choice a little easier to understand, but it’s still pretty gross that he’s watching a kids movie on a day when people all around the country are still protesting his racist policies. Also, speaking of things that are gross and Pixar-related, the Cartoon Brew Twitter account has gone on a timely tear against Disney CEO Bob Iger, criticizing him for standing by Trump:

Just try not to think about any of this the next time you watch Finding Dory or any other Disney film.
