Another DC Comics character has found a more permanent home at The CW. At today’s TCA winter press tour panel, the network announced a new animated Constantine series from network stalwart Greg Berlanti, who’s successfully adapted everything from Arrow to Supergirl. Matt Ryan, who played the titular demon hunter in NBC’s short-lived live-action series, previously revived the character in the Arrowverse. Now he’s set to voice Constantine in an animated series that will be available at the CW Seed, the network’s digital arm. He’ll be good company, as the CW Seed is already home to Vixen, and will host Berlanti’s The Ray series, which is coming in 2017. This is also a second chance for David S. Goyer; the former Constantine showrunner will executive produce the animated series with Berlanti.
