Arcade Fire is taking its over-the-top stage show to movie theaters. The group will be the subject of a new documentary, The Reflektor Tapes, out this September. Directed by frequent Kendrick Lamar collaborator Kahlil Joseph, The Reflektor Tapes is billed as “a unique cinematic experience, meeting at the crossroads of documentary, music, art, and personal history.” Though it was shot during the group’s Reflektor tour, little is known about the movie’s actual content other than that Joseph screened the film for some students at California Institute For The Arts last fall. So apparently it doesn’t cause viewers to have seizures, or we would have heard about that. Either way, it’ll be in select theaters September 24.
