Cinemax has issued a fourth-season renewal to Strike Back, the action drama that led the charge in Cinemax’s efforts to shake off its identity as a home for softcore porn that’s a little too trashy for HBO, and instead be known as a place for original series that are a little too trashy for HBO. But like a simple counterterrorism operation that inevitably leads to a double agent’s betrayal, the show’s renewal was also its cancellation notice, as the network gave the Strike Back team just 10 more episodes to wrap things up and completely rid the world of terrorism. Those episodes will air in 2014, after which it will be revealed that, secretly, Cinemax was working for The Bikini Car Wash Company this whole time.
