Vikings

Variety is reporting that History’s belovedly pulpy period drama Vikings will be making the jump from Thursday nights to Wednesdays when it returns this fall. The change—presumably meant to shift the show’s allegiances from Thor The Thunderer to his father, the All-Seeing Woden (and also probably to shore up holes in the cable network’s schedule) will see Ragnar, Lagertha, and all the rest of Kattegat return on November 30.

Vikings finished the first half of its fourth season earlier this year, culminating in a big, multi-year time jump and a climactic naval battle. Meanwhile, the show’s already been renewed for an upcoming fifth season, with professional historical reenactor Jonathan Rhys Meyers set to sign on to its cast.
