Though it had already begun to build buzz with its teaser trailer and encouraging New York Comic-Con reports of it probably not being the worst thing ever, Kimberly Peirce's new, Chloe Moretz-starring adaptation of Carrie has been delayed from March to October. Shock Till You Drop broke the news, speculating that the move could have something to do with the needs for extra post-production work, in addition to wanting to time the release for Halloween—as opposed to the arguably even more appropriate months leading up to prom, when it could serve as a cautionary reminder.
