The promotional push has begun for the third season of Mr. Robot, USA’s techno-drama starring Rami Malek and Christian Slater. After the season-two finale, a disillusioned Elliot (Malek) will nonetheless have to contend with a new alliance, as well as whatever Bobby Cannavale will get up to in his guest-star capacity. Though USA has described Cannavale’s character, Irving, as a “laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman,” the Vinyl alum is giving us much more of “guy who cooks the books” feel in this first look.

Together, the loosened tie, pompadour, and wire glasses are markers of the mob accountant, though this style has come a long way from Meyer Lansky. The used car lot could turn out to be some kind of front, but we imagine Sam Esmail has something a bit more intriguing in mind for Cannavale. Mr. Robot returns in October.
