The last we heard from Bloc Party, the British post-punk band appeared to be in flux, with singer Kele Okereke reportedly kicked out of the group because his bandmates were sick of him focusing on his solo career. Well, all that appears to be behind Bloc Party at the moment, with Okereke telling the BBC's Zane Lowe that the band has recorded two songs and demoed 17 tracks. He even boasted that the forthcoming album “doesn’t sound like anyone else on the planet,” which isn't bad considering Okereke thought he was out of a job just four months ago. No word on when the record will be released, but Bloc Party appears to be a working band again. [via OneThirtyBPM]
