Big Hero 6 proves unsettling with unnecessary censorship

Disney’s Big Hero 6 examines the bonds forged in the wake of tragedy while being a fun romp with super science. But with some well-timed bleeps, the children’s movie becomes a far darker tale of a foul-mouthed boy and his robot pal who may have been built for unseemly purposes. Kyle J. Britt has given the Big Hero 6 trailer the unnecessary censorship treatment, making the animated film seem less like a family friendly superhero adventure and more like the wacky hijinks of an ’80s buddy comedy; it’s Short Circuit meets Bachelor Party.

Britt has done similar censored versions for Frozen and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but this installment features the largest transformation as cuddly, genial robot Baymax now becomes a sexually deviant automaton.
