What lies beyond a mascotā€™s mask has long been a source of mystery. Are they as happy as the maskā€™s smile might suggest? Or is there a secret scowl hiding behind there? Last night, the New York Mets got demolished by the Milwaukee Brewers, apparently pissing off Mr. Met to such a degree that no costume could hide his anger.

Yes, thatā€™s Forbesā€™ No. 1 mascot of all time flipping the bird to a couple of rowdy fans. the Metsā€™ official Twitter account sent out the requisite apology.

As of now, Mr. Met has yet to comment, though rumors say a new, more family-friendly Mr. Met will be appearing at tonightā€™s game.
