The members of Arcade Fire like to think of themselves as some pretty cool Canadians, so for the band’s first venture since 2013’s Reflektor, they’ve decided to take things in a different direction: They’re going to open a restaurant. Alright, so it’s not the whole band working together on an official Arcade Fire Bar And Grill or whatever, but Win Butler and Régine Chassagne are going to launch a Haitian restaurant in Montreal called Agrikol this summer. The pair made the announcement in an interview with Canadian newspaper The Globe And Mail (via Entertainment Weekly), and Butler says the restaurant will be “more of an art project” and a “cultural space.” Basically, it sounds like that means there will be a bunch of crazy shit going on at Agrikol in addition to, you know, eating. We’re picturing it like an upscale, Haitian version of Applebee’s, with a bunch of goofy Arcade Fire road signs and memorabilia from local sports teams on the walls.
