After years of speculation and rumor-mongering, Edgar Wright's Ant-Man now has the official release date of November 6, 2015, allowing for at least three more years of speculation and rumor-mongering. Speculation like this: Slating the film after The Avengers 2 and its May 1, 2015 date—not to mention after the debut of the nanotechnology-driven Iron Man 3, the presumed premiere of the S.H.I.E.L.D. series, etc.—might allow Marvel to introduce Henry Pym through one of the many other branches of its film universe, giving people who may not have been automatically excited by, say, the mere prospect of Ant-Man test footage a chance to get familiar. Or like this: Ant-Man will be battling Lily Tomlin. Now you go, for the next three years.
