In keeping with the same sense of freshness and inspiration as its observations about relationships, Screen Gems has begun pre-production on a sequel to Think Like A Man, the adaptation of Steve Harvey's self-help book about how men just want to dribble the basketball like this but women just want to get married and drink merlot with their girlfriends like this. Sort-of original screenwriters Keith Merryman and David A. Newman have been hired to tease out those exact same stereotypes into all-new tediously warmed-over vignettes, though it's not yet clear how much of the film's cast could return to march listlessly through them. But given the original film's mind-bending, interlocked layers of self-promoting self-reference to Harvey's book, perhaps the sequel will feature a group of women who see the first film and are inspired to put its lessons into action on their own men, with intermittent cutaways to Steve Harvey laughing maniacally as he stuffs money into his rapidly expanding suit.
