Though already long accepted by the fact that Bryan Cranston said it and one should always listen to Bryan Cranston, AMC has redundantly confirmed that Breaking Bad will return on July 15. The network further added unnecessary credence to Cranston by agreeing that, yes, the final season will air in halves—eight episodes this summer, and then another eight in 2013—to really drag out that torturous sense of dread. The coming months will also see the return of Hell On Wheels on August 12 and, in the plum post-Breaking Bad slot, the premiere of the network's newest unscripted series Small Town Security, which follows a family-run private security firm in rural Georgia as they protect sleeping basset hounds and jugs of molasses or something.
