In what seems like a clear attempt to compete with the nostalgia win that Hulu achieved when it landed the rights to a bunch of old TGIF shows, Amazon has announced that Prime subscribers can now enjoy their own batch of old ‘80s and ‘90s sitcoms. As reported by Variety, the shows are Roseanne, 3rd Rock From The Sun, A Different World, Grace Under Fire, Cybill, and Grounded For Life, with the complete run of each show being dropped throughout August. The Variety story doesn’t say when each show will arrive or how gradual the rollout will be, but at least people who like to watch streaming video now have another way to satiate their nostalgia needs.
