As reported by Deadline, soon-to-be-former Mindy Project star Adam Pally has signed on to Lionsgate’s Dirty Grandpa, a film that sounds like—but has nothing to do with—Bad Grandpa. As we’ve previously reported, the film stars Robert De Niro as the bad grandpa—err, the dirty grandpa, and Zac Efron as his less-dirty grandson. Dermot Mulroney and Aubrey Plaza will also be there (dirtily). Pally will be playing Efron’s “crass and crude” cousin—or “dirty cousin” in the film’s parlance. Unfortunately, “dirty cousin” somehow sounds significantly more disgusting than “dirty grandpa,” so now we’re kind of creeped out by this whole thing. “Hello, I’m Adam Pally, your dirty cousin.” Gross, right? Sorry, we’ve got to get out of this Newswire. It’s too much. Dirty Grandpa is being directed by Borat executive producer “Dirty” Dan Mazer, and it’ll be in (most likely dirty) theaters on August 12, 2016. And we still can’t stop thinking about dirty cousins.
