MTV has named a host to boldly take its awards show into a new era which honors content (and we presume kisses) on screens both big and small. The network has announced that Adam Devine will emcee the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Devine’s selection makes sense given that he’s had some success in both the TV and film arenas with the likes of Workaholics and the Pitch Perfect franchise.

“I’m so excited to host the MTV Movie & TV Awards,” Devine said, per MTV News. “I have dreamed about it since I was a teenager. It was usually a dry dream, but I would be remiss if I didn’t admit that sometimes it was wet.” So, indeed, that is the kind of humor you can be prepared to hear come May 7.
