In the lead-up to Des Ark’s third full-length, Everything Dies, Aimée Argote has been transparent about the circumstances that precipitated a four-year delay between albums. After putting everything on hold to attend to three of her family members who fell ill, Argote resumed work on Everything Dies, the most emotionally harrowing record in Des Ark’s discography. The A.V. Club is streaming Everything Dies in full, ahead of its release next week. Though the bulk of the album sees Argote in a quiet, reflective mood, the tracks that make up Everything Dies explode with cathartic release, with the help of contributions from Swans’ Thor Harris and Engine Down’s Jonathan Fuller.

Pre-orders for Everything Dies are available now through Graveface Records.
