The axe sharpened by low ratings finally fell on three ABC shows yesterday, according The Hollywood Reporter. The shows: Eli Stone, Dirty Sexy Money, and Pushing Daisies. The latter two debuted with much fanfare last season but both the star-packed melodrama Dirty Sexy Money and the whimsical necro-romance Pushing Daisies never pulled in great ratings and lost all momentum in the wake of last year's writer's strike. In the end, even Daisies' fervent cult following couldn't save it from, well, ABC's not calling it a cancellation. The network has simply declined to order more episodes at this time. Still, fans should probably consider the remaining episodes their last chance for pie.
